B) Fellowship and prayer

It is of utmost importance to be in a place where we are growing. That means attending a group that gets together for prayer and bible study. God has placed apostles, prophets and teachers in the church in order to equip and build it. Romans says, ROM 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God.... There is unlimited power contained in the word of God. All we have to do is plant it in our lives by believing it and then aligning our lives to live it. It is through the gifting of apostle, prophet or teacher that we are instructed in the truth. Now I am not just talking about concepts, ideas, or beliefs but truth. Truth is a fact whether we want to believe it or not. It is not by ourselves or our own intellect that we come to truth. Likewise it is not by the ability of the prophet, apostle or teachers that they came to truth. JOH 16:13 "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. It is the job of the apostle, prophet and teacher to teach the truth, but it is the job of the spirit to lead us into the truth. That is why it is so important to fellowship with people because God may have called them to teach truth and thus give the spirit the opportunity to lead us into the truth.

Praying with others of like faith is also important because prayer is our communication network with the Father. When we utilize this network, power is transferred from God to us. When we use it with others, we can actually benefit by entering the anointing and transfer of power that others are experiencing. As with anything in life there are always varying abilities among the people we know and one or two of them may have a greater network with God than the rest. Prayer is one way for us to take advantage of others abilities. If we are committed to grow, the day will come when others will take advantage of our abilities.

Fellowship and prayer with others will give them access to us and an ability to monitor our life for demonic strongholds. When we are weak (young Christians) we are vulnerable to satan=s devices. We neither have the strength nor the wisdom to be triumphant against satan. We become proficient over time, with the help and instruction of others. There will also be times when demons will be driven out of us. We may not know who cast them out or how, but only that they left while in fellowship.
