7) What to do nextA) Praise God for His deliverancePraising God is an act of faith. So praise God and don=t let the devil tell you that nothing happened because he is a liar. This is what Jesus had to say about the devil .JOH 8:44 "... He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own {nature;} for he is a liar, and the father of lies. B) Daily spend time in prayer and readingThis is our life line to God which must not be broken. If you think that church is your life line you are wrong. While fellowship is extremely important, it takes a back seat to our personal relationship to God. We can belong to a terrible church and yet have great spiritual freedom because of our relationship with God. Just as the old joke goes A seven days without prayer makes one weak.@ C) You must stay in active faith (seek out faith people)There is a big difference between a Christian that says he believes in faith and one who preaches and lives the faith gospel. Faith people preach healing, deliverance, miracles and have them regularly taking place. They do not believe that the baptism of the spirit was only for the first apostles. If you are not growing where you are at, find a place where the messages are speaking to you and that there is a demonstration of spiritual power. D) Don=t allow that sin to reignYou must take a stand against sin in every form. Sin is satan=s tool to get his claws into mankind. We are not subject to satan or sin, but to Jesus Christ. There are right ways of overcoming sin and wrong ways. The best book in my opinion on the subject of over coming sin is by Watchman Nee and entitled The Spiritual Man. E) Do not be discouraged if people don=t believe youIt only takes a few days for us to learn not to tell others about things that we experienced and that God shows us. Doubt and persecution is the norm that we should expect. Most people are so full of the world that when they hear the truth it seems so unbelievable that they can only lash out with criticism and rebuke. You will even get pastors and elders telling you that this is of the devil and that you should avoid it. Satan has blinded their eyes to the truth and deceived them into a false sense of security. Do not argue with them but pray for their deliverance. |
