4) God is willing

As already stated, most people find it harder to believe that "God is willing" than "He is able" to heal them. When we have a weak relationship with God, His character is often questioned. We may feel estranged from Him or convicted by our own conscience of a sinful life style. Satan uses condemnation to prevent us from coming to our heavenly father and reconciling anything that stands between us. Scripture states, 1JO 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. There is no reason for us to stay estranged from God, for confession is all that is needed to get back into a right relationship. Now some may say but you don't know how I struggle many times a day with this sin and fail in the struggle. We all experience struggles and at times, fail miserably many time a day. We can get some insight into God's heart through a statement Jesus made to Peter. MAT 18:21 ¶ Then Peter came and said to Him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" 18:22 Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. I don't believe that the issue is that we must forgive our brother 490 times and then it is alright for us to not forgive, but that there should be no limit to forgiving our brother. If we are to forgive our brother continually, how much more will God continue to forgive our sins against Him.

God is not surprised by our sin, regardless of how vile it may be. He longs to have His children draw close so that He can empower us to overcome the sins that harass us. Instead, we run from God in fear of His judgment not realizing that He loves us in spite of the sin. The closer we get to God, the better we will know Him. We will see His eternal love for us and how sin destroys our life. Sin will eventually appear as an enemy to us and we will war against it in the power of God. Until this time we must not allow it to stand between us and our God.

Ok, my sin has been repented of and I stand in right relationship with God. How do I know He is willing to heal me? If we have spent the time needed to look up scripture concerning healing we have found that Jesus healed all who were sick and possessed by the devil. Jesus being God, displayed by His actions the will of the Father. How do we know this? Because Jesus stated that he only does what the Father wills. JOH 5:19 ¶ Jesus therefore answered and was saying to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. JOH 8:28 Jesus therefore said, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me. Jesus represented God faithfully and all that was performed through Jesus we can expect God to do on our behalf. A few may say, some people didn't get healed and seemed to stand in faith. Yes, it seems that way, but faith is a substance and not just an idea. We can not know what others did or failed to do that resulted in them not being healed. Scripture declares that, ROM 2:11 For there is no partiality with God. And GAL 2:6 But from those who were of high reputation (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)... and again EPH 6:9 And, masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him. If we serve a God that is impartial, then He will do for me what He has done for others. God does not respect one position over another, nor one person as better then another. God is a father to us all and will not heal me and pass over you.

Jesus represented God perfectly and never said to anyone, " I am sorry, but it is not the Father's will to heal you." Scripture says that Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were sick. Remember if we don't believe God then He will not override our will.

So we see that not only is Jesus God but he only did that which is the Father's will. Jesus healed ALL who were sick. Therefore it is God's will to heal all who are sick, including us. Scripture also states, TIT 1:2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago, and HEB 6:18 in order that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have strong encouragement..." God cannot lie! Why are we so afraid to grasp a hold of the word of God when it clearly states that God cannot lie? God cannot lie! Here is another idea to cement this idea in our spirits. MAT 24:35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away. The very thing that we deem as stable and consistent, "the world," will pass away. The universe is not an eternal thing but has limits and an ending. The word of God on the other hand is eternal and has no ending. So what are we trusting in? Things that we can be seen, felt, able to lay our hands on and have empirical evidence for? Or the God who cannot lie and His word?
